Support changes the angle

A cushion does more than soften a surface. Under the pelvis, knees or back, it changes the angle and reduces the required range. A firm cushion provides support; a soft one mainly protects pressure points.

Set up beforehand

Keep supports within reach and make sure they cannot slide. A headboard, wall or stable sofa edge can help, provided it cannot tip and has no hard corner.

  • Stable surface
  • Non-slip fabric
  • Aligned neck
  • No compressed joint

Adjust in small steps

Move support only a few centimetres at a time. A small change can relax the lower back or reduce wrist load. If the setup becomes complicated, return to a simpler variation.
